The senior enlisted soldier at U.S. Army Garrison Wiesbaden, Germany, has been relieved of duty in connection with an off-post incident in November, a spokesman for Installation Management Command Europe told Army Times.
Command Sgt. Maj. Sa’eed Mustafa was administratively relieved on March 3, Dan Thompson said in an email on Friday. He is currently assigned to IMCOM in a position “commensurate with his rank.”
Command Sgt. Maj. Roy Rocco will fill Mustafa’s position at Wiesbaden on March 24.
Mustafa was suspended from his job as garrison command sergeant major on Nov. 25. Thompson declined to provide specific information about the Nov. 22 incident that led to Mustafa losing his job.
“We do not generally discuss the details of an administrative action, as it is non-punitive in nature,” he said.
Mustafa and his attorney were not immediately available for comment on Friday.
Stars and Stripes first reported on Friday that Mustafa had been relieved of duty.
