The search continues for Capt. Robby Williams, who is assigned to Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., and was last seen on Dec. 18, officials said.
As of Jan. 2, Williams had not been located, said Sgt. Curtis Wilson, a spokesman for the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.
Williams did not report to work at Shaw on Dec. 23 and is believed to be driving his 2013 Black Jeep Wrangler with the South Carolina license plate number ITC701, according to a news release from the 20th Fighter Wing.
The Air Force is asking for the public’s help in finding Williams, who lives in the greater Columbia metro area and has been stationed at Shaw since November, the news release says.
Williams is described as an African American in his late 20s who stands 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs 190 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes, the news release says. Tips should be reported to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department’s Crimestoppers line at 1-888-274-6372 or 803-576-3000.
“We’re all trying to find Robby now,” Brig. Gen. Scott Dennis, U.S. Air Forces Central Command Assistant Commanding Deputy, said in the news release. “Robby is a member of our team and a part of the Air Force family. We’d like the community’s help in reporting and tips they may have to the local authorities.”
