Deadline extended for grant applications to help women vets

Newmanís Own Foundation has extended its deadline to Nov. 1 for applications for grants that will be awarded to nonprofit organizations that help female veterans with career development.

The foundation will award a total of $300,000 to organizations across the country. Once organizations are vetted, the foundation will determine how to award the $300,000 based on the size, needs and number of organizations that apply. More information and the online application are available at

The Newmanís Own Foundation, founded by the late actor and philanthropist Paul Newman, a Navy veteran, contributes to a number of charities that help female veterans in particular, as well as the broader military community.
