A former member of the 10th Security Forces Squadron at the Air Force Academy was sentenced Saturday to 15 months confinement and a dishonorable discharge for aggravated sexual contact against a fellow airman.
A jury of seven officers convicted Senior Airman Aaron C. Stubbs on Friday following a three-day court-martial at the academy. In addition to jail time and discharge, Stubbs also was busted to airman basic and must forfeit all pay and allowances, according to a news release from the academy.
The victim in the case, described only as an “enlisted airman,” testified Stubbs kissed her, removed her pants and touched her genital area despite tearfully asking him to stop, the Colorado Springs Gazette reported. The incident occurred Dec. 23 in the woman’s base home.
The defense argued the woman consented to Stubbs’ advances but then lied about it to protect her relationship with her boyfriend, The Gazette reported.
