President Obama, who has addressed VFW and American Legion conventions over the years, will speak this week to disabled veterans.

Organizers of the Disabled American Veterans National Convention in Orlando announced Monday that Obama will address their group Saturday.

First lady Michelle Obama will introduce her husband.

Some 4,000 injured veterans and their guests are expected to attend the DAV (Disabled American Veterans) National Convention, the organization said.

“Several seminars will be held to inform members on key legislative and policy issues affecting veterans,” the organization said.

It added: “A central discussion will be what actions the VA and Congress are implementing to eliminate the backlog for delivering benefits to veterans.”
