The Navy is taking a tougher stance on hazing, but some of our readers say the fleet is just watering down old-fashioned Navy tradition.

We want to take a closer look at hazing in the fleet, but we need your help.

Do “crossing the line” ceremonies cross the line? What about punching someone on their rank to celebrate advancement? How about duct-taping someone to a chair, as occurred in one recent case?

Were you hurt by hazing, or are these acts “rites of passage” that brought you closer to your peers? When do things go too far?
