FRANKFORT, KY. — A Kentucky National Guard soldier has gotten a taste of Hollywood as part of a promotion connected with the new Superman movie.
Pfc. Kierre Brown of Frankfort was among 22 Guardsmen from 18 states who spent a week in Hollywood to shoot a National Guard ad appearing with the movie’s marketing campaign. It was part of a partnership between Warner Brothers Entertainment and the National Guard to market the movie “Man of Steel.”
The minute-long ad depicts citizen-soldiers as ordinary people like Superman’s alias, Clark Kent, who at any moment could become heroes in difficult times.
Brown is among the soldiers on a rooftop helping a family being hoisted by a helicopter.
The 21-year-old Brown said he had a chance to spend time with the entire cast and crew.
