FORT BENNING, GA. — Army officials say three soldiers from the Marksmanship Unit have been named to the USA Shooting Paralympic National and Development teams.
USA Shooting, the sportís governing body, held its national rifle and pistol championships at Fort Benning last week. Officials said Sgt. John Joss was named to the national team, and Staff Sgt. Shaun Tichenor and Sgt. Eric Trueblood were named to the development team.
Officials said the three participate in the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unitís wounded warrior program, which was announced last fall and allows soldiers who have been wounded in combat to represent the Army in international competitions.
