The Air Force on Tuesday named the 11th military training instructor at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, charged with misconduct with trainees since June 2011.
Tech. Sgt. Samuel Wicks of the 331st Training Squadron is accused of having unprofessional relationships with three students in technical training, according to a base news release. He also faces charges of indecent conduct and obstruction of justice.
A hearing is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. Thursday to determine whether there is enough evidence to send Wicks to court-martial.
A majority of instructors accused were from the 331st Training Squadron, to which Wicks belonged. The Air Force announced in June that it had removed the squadron commander, Lt. Col. Michael Paquette.
Misconduct charges against MTIs have ranged from rape and aggravated sexual assault to contact with trainees over social media.
