DoDEA accepts comments online

Defense schools officials want input from parents, students, teachers, counselors, administrators, the military community at large and others as they revise their minimum graduation requirements.

They are accepting feedback through Sept. 30.

Graduation requirements include number of course credits, specified required courses, elective courses and grade point average. Department of Defense Education Activity officials are examining the calculation of grade point average, rigorous course requirements and diploma types.

The new graduation requirements will apply to incoming freshmen beginning in school year 2013-14. Current DoDEA high school students will be grandfathered under the current graduation requirements.
