Chief master sergeant promotions released

The Air Force is getting 487 new chief master sergeants.

Eligible for promotion were 2,201 senior master sergeants. The selection rate was 22.13 percent.

The Air Force selected about 22 percent of those up for the promotion, according to the Monday announcement. The average score was 659.88. The average time in grade was 3.09 years and time in service was 22.85 years.

The average enlisted performance report score was 134.98, 24.39 for decorations, 68.38 for the Air Force supervisory exam and 383.12 board score.

The promotions will begin in January after the selection verification process. AFPC officials will contact anyone whose selection is in question.
